Rule 20

20. Classification of goods and services-

(1) Classification of goods and services for the purpose of registration of a trademark, the goods and services shall be classified as per the current edition of “the International Classification of goods and services (NICE classification)” published by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

(2) The Registrar shall publish a class-wise and an alphabetical index of such goods and services, including goods and services of Indian origin.
