Anand is one of the founding members of Epiphany. At Epiphany, he is involved in business development activities and also works closely with the operations team on execution of projects. Anand is registered patent agent with the Indian Patent Office (IPO) and has over ten years of experience in the IP industry. Some of the clients he has closely worked with on patent related cases include British Telecom, Hewlett Packard, Nokia, Samsung and Lexmark. His technical areas of experience include communication networks, video processing, navigation systems and social media/e-commerce related applications.
Prior to founding Epiphany, Anand has worked with Lexadigm Solutions as a project lead and with Evalueserve as a senior research associate. He has also briefly worked with Bechtel Telecommunications as a radio frequency Engineer on a UMTS upgradation project for AT&T in Los Angeles, California.
Anand received his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Mumbai, where he did research on applications of Microstrip Antennas. He also led the Sardar Patel College team in the Inter-Collegiate and Inter-Engineering soccer competitions. He was a part of a team that made it to the finals of the Inter-Engineering soccer tournament, a first in college history.
He received his master's degree in Telecommunications from the University of Maryland (College Park), where he worked closely with the office of technology commercialization (OTC) on technologies developed at the University in collaboration with NASA and NSF. At UMD, Anand started the Telecommunications department newsletter 'TeleScope' and edited the Spring and Fall 2003 editions as well as contributed cover-page articles.
